Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has won the Premier League Manager of the month for October, MySportDab reports.

The former Al-Nassr manager has accentuated brilliance in the dugout at City Ground this season.

After narrowly surviving relegation by a needle inch last season, he has led Nottingham Forest to become one of the most formidable teams this term.

His most notable performance came against league leaders Liverpool at Anfield. For the first time in the club’s history, Nottingham Forest secure a Premier League victory over Liverpool at Anfield under the watch of Santo.

However, the best of the Portuguese was in October when he spearheaded a prolific run of form that saw the team break into the top three on the Premier League table.

He opened his campaign in the month against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Standing against all odds, Santo’s Nottingham Forest took the lead in the second half through Chris Woodbbefore being pegged to a draw after Noni Madueke scored for Chelsea.

The game ended on a 1-1 draw with Espirito Santo securing a crucial one point away at Stamford Bridge.

He hosted Crystal Palace at City Ground in his second match. Chris Wood’s only goal was enough to Santo and Nottingham Forest all three points in the match.

Santo’s last match in the month was against Leicester City at Kings Power Stadium. He led the team to a 3-1 victory to mob up 7 points from his three Premier League matches in the month.

Notably, he has won his last Premier League match against West Ham United to make it three straight wins in the English top flight.

The sensational run has seen Nottingham Forest climb to third on the Premier League table with 19 points from 10 games – their best start to the campaign in decades. Watch Nuno Espirito Highlights for the month Twitter.
