Liverpool have dropped points for the first time in the Premier League in over one month following a six-goal thriller draw at St James Park against Newcastle United in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

It was a rollercoaster as the two sides crossed swords in a seething Premier League clash that saw them flaunt their expressly attacking flair and penchant for goals.

Liverpool went into the clash on the back of seven straight wins in all competitions and top of the Premier League with a nine-point gap.

They were tipped to skim past an unconvincing Eddie Howe-led Newcastle United but a spirited showing by the home side ensured the game was tied after the final whistle.

Swedish prolific forward Alexander Isak opened the scoring for Newcastle United five minutes after the half-hour with a stunning thunderbolt from outside the box.

The goal was the difference at the break as the Magpies held on against all odds to lead in the first 45.

However, it would take just five minutes into the second half for Liverpool to find the leveller. Curtis Jones latching on a close pass from Mohamed Salah, crashed it in with a brilliant first-time strike to peg the hosts to a 1-1 draw.

12 minutes after Jones’ stunner, Newcastle fought their way back to the lead again. Anthony Gordon scored a screamer to fire the hosts in front for the second time.

However, it would take just six minutes for the Reds to equalize again. Mohamed Salah, latching on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s assist, made no mistake as he poked it home with a low shot to make it 2-2.

Seven minutes before regulation, Liverpool turned the game on its head, taking the lead through a second Mohamed Salah goal.

Coming back twice to take the lead and with a few minutes, the Arne Slot-led boys closed in on what would have been their eighth consecutive win.

But it ended in disappointment. At the stroke of regulation time, Schar scored to peg the visitors to a dramatic 3-3 draw before the final whistle.

The draw saw Liverpool drop points for the first time in over a month, cutting their point advantage at the top to 7 points.
