BREAKING! Dan Ashworth Leaves Manchester United As Sporting Director!

Dan Ashworth has quit his role as Manchester United’s sporting director just five months due to differing views with the club’s leadership, MySportDab reports.

United confirmed the imminent departure of the renowned football administrator in a club statement which reads;

“Dan Ashworth will be leaving his role as Sporting Director of Manchester United by mutual agreement.”

Ashworth joined Manchester United from Newcastle United in the wave of new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s move to change the fortunes of the club.

He reportedly identified with the club’s new project under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and was eager to be a part of the campaign.

However, it has been established the two parties could not work together due to differing plans on the club’s development plan.

The polar views has been confirmed to be the reason for the pair to mutually part ways with Ashworth now open to a fresh offer from rival clubs.

Notably, it is barely five months since Dan Ashworth took over as Manchester United new Sporting director.

He has been credited for the managerial change that occured at the club recently with new and former Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim replacing Dutch tactician Erik ten Hag.

However, close sources reveal the two parties had deep-seated differences on transfer polices and recruitment plans.

While details of the faceoff remain sketchy, it is understood United will be in the market to employ a new hand for the role.

Ashworth is a respected English football official and had been credited for the rise of Newcastle United lately in the English top flight.

His resignation will come as an additional blow to a United squad that is grappling to return to winning ways under new manager Ruben Amorim.
