He was also named first-team All-Pac-12 three times (2012, 2013, and 2014), and second-team All-Freshman once (2011).

He joined the NFL and was released in November 2018 from his position after being picked by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft with the 71st selection.

His career in the NFL began after leaving the Bears and continued with stops with the Miami Dolphins.

He played for the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Grasu officially becomes a free agent in September 2024. He was selected to the All-Pac-12 first and All-American teams in 2013.

Grasu made it to the Rimington Trophy finals twice (2013) and (2014).
