Nicolas Jackson was on target as Chelsea claimed a 2-1 victory at home against Brentford in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

It was fair from kickoff from both teams, but more possession and opportunities were for the Blues who dominated the encounter.

Marc Cucurella opened the goal scoring which saw Bryan Mbeumo’s late finish in the second half drew things to an edgy finish.

It was another game that saw Enzo Maresca making some minor changes with Mudryk and Joao Felix missing on the teamsheet.

Brentford dealt with so much pressure all through the first half that they could only manage to go forward on some occasions with no goal.

Chelsea had everything working out for them as the game continued, but they couldn’t find a way of making something materialize for themselves.

The match carried on with the 40th minute with nothing separating both teams who had their moments but failed to make anything solid.

A moment of brilliance from Noni Madueke saw him deliver a cross which Marc Cucurella converted with a header in the 43rd minute.

Chelsea headed for the break with a 1-0 lead against Brentford which was fair based on their dominance all through the first 45 minutes.

The scene at Stamford Bridge continued witnessing so much from the second half in which the action was more with both teams doing the work.

Nicolas Jackson doubled the advantage thanks to a wonderful finish which came in the 80th minute with an assist for Enzo Fernandez which made it 2-0.

Bryan Mbeumo’s goal in the 90th minute made sure the remain time left on the match saw both teams giving all their best.

It was Chelsea once again who made it another victory after claiming a 2-1 victory against Brentford which put them two points behind Liverpool.
